Peshawar: Due to an ongoing operation in Khyber Agency of Pakistan’s tribal region against the militants, police have been put on high alert for Friday prayers in Peshawar.

Police sources said that 11 more police check-posts have been setup in Mattani and Badaber, the outskirts of the city. “We have also deployed some extra force in the areas,” they added.

Dozens of policemen have been deployed at the mosques in the Cantt. and the city center areas while walkthrough gates have also been installed at the gates of several mosques.
