These funds will be used by the PRC to cover the cost of creating awareness about the high danger of breast cancer in Pakistani women. It has been agreed that the MCB will accept donations for PRC, from its customers.
An MoU to this effect was signed by Ali Mubashir Kazmi, Group Head CBG, MCB Bank and Omer Aftab, CEO, Pink Ribbon Campaign.
As per the MoU, the MCB will provide a wide range of banking and financial services to its customers, through branch offices as well as through different electronic channels, including ATMs, Internet Banking, POS, Virtual Banking Channel (MCB Virtual Banking) and Call Centers etc. enabling them to donate for a just cause for women empowerment.
The bank will also disseminate information about the Pink Ribbon Campaign to its customers so that they are convinced that their donation is not going waste.
The customers willing to make donations to PRC through MCB Alternate Delivery Channels may donate the same by logging on to their respective channels and selecting PRC as beneficiary to make donations. Upon making donations by the customers, MCB shall transfer the entire donations in real time to PRC.
The PRC accepts funds through various modes including donations and Zakat. The primary goal of PRC is to serve the community. It is run on the concept of equality and social responsibility, implemented through a cross subsidization model. The income generated by the donations is used to cover the cost of PRC creating awareness about the high danger of breast cancer in Pakistani women, thus making people realize the prevalent dangers of breast cancer that can prove fatal for women.
