Tehran: Iran has planned to introduced new domestically made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone next year.

Giving details of the project, the commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbiya Air Defense Base announced on Tuesday that Iran will unveil a new domestically manufactured unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) next year, Tehran Times reported.

Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili also pointed to an Iranian-made drone which was launched into Israeli airspace earlier this month and said that the drone flight was only “a small part of our show of strength.”

On October 6, Israel shot down an Iranian-made drone operated by Hezbollah that had penetrated hundreds of kilometers into Israeli airspace and gotten very close to the Dimona nuclear plant without being detected by advanced Israeli and U.S. radar systems
