Among others, the workshop was addressed by Muhammad Shahid Javed, an Information System Expert and Head of Operational Risk & Internal Control Division – Burj Bank Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, Javed explained that Information Systems are the backbone of any business and organization. However the mediums are different and had been developed from time to time. Nowadays information systems are dependent upon Information Technology and after the I.T and Computer revolution, it is not possible to ignore or bypass importance of the emerging technology.
He said that business students should know the value and usage of I.T for the business processes, because it is through I.T that we get facts, figures and data at a high speed, keeping with today’s environment so that the process of decision making could be made also very fast. By the development of Information Systems in an organization, the process of compliance and control becomes very systematic and decreases the chances of errors.

The academic session was conducted for MBA students to emphasize the importance of Information systems in their future business decision making. In the end, the Management of COMMECS thanked Shahid Javed for sparing his time to deliver his views and experiences with the students.
