Sindh University to award M.Phil, PhD to 16 scholars

Jamshoro: The Advanced Studies & Research Board (ASRB) of University of Sindh has approved to award M.Phil and PhD degrees to 16 research scholars who have successfully completed their research work.

The meeting headed by the Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Dr Nazir A. Mughal was attended by the members including Registrar Mohammad Nawaz Narejo, Controller of Examinations (Annual) Dr Naeem Tariq Narejo, Dr Mehboob Ali Shah, Dr Abdullah Dayo, Dr Parveen Munshi, Dr Mohammad Anwar Pathan, Dr Noor Afroz Khawaja, Dr. Noor Ahmed Jamali, Dr Ghulam Mohammad Lakho, Dr Faryal Almani, Dr Abida Taherani, Dr. Mohammad Siddique Kalhoro, Dr Imdad Ali Ismaili and others.

The meeting unanimously approved to award PhD degrees to 10 research scholars and six to MPhil scholars.

Those who succeeded to win the award of PhD degrees including Syed Ismail Shah Bukhari in English, Ms Farzana Baloch in Pakistan Studies, Professor Abdula Jabbar Laghari in Chemistry, Ayaz Ali Memon in Analytical Chemistry, Mohammada Ubaidullah Sheerazi in Plant Sciences (Botany), Saeedullah Jan in Library and Information sciences, Moihammad Ans Rajper in Islamic culture, Ghulam Zainab Buriro in Sindhi, Parveen Moosa Memon in Sindhi and Afsheen Shah in Bio-Chemistry.

Similarly the Board approved to award MPil degrees to six research scholars including Bashir Ahmed Abbasi in environment sciences, Ghulam Mujtaba Wadhar in Fresh water biology and fisheries, Ubedullah in mathematics, Farah Naz in botany, Mujahid Khan and Zubaida Butt both in Zoology.
