Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik termed the US drone strikes as unlawful and said that the majority of those killed in the attacks were innocent people.

Talking to media representatives outside Parliament, the interior minister said that only 20 percent of those killed in drone attacks were militants while the rest were innocent people.

“2,300 people were killed in 336 strikes carried out by United States in Waziristan,” Malik claimed adding that 96 cross border attacks were launched from Afghanistan.

When asked about an operation in North Waziristan, Malik claimed that no statements were made regarding this matter.
