USAID’s training project launched at IoBM

Karachi: The USAID- Citizen’s Voice Project signed a contract with the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi for the training of NPOs (Not for Profit Organizations) on October 4, 2012.  

According to a Press Release of the IoBM Public Affairs Section, the training for NPOs, , will be conducted in the areas of Compliance, Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Financial Management, Project Management, Proposal Writing, Resource Mobilization, Public Outreach, Leadership, HR/Admin and Procurement over a period of fifteen months.

Mr. Talib S. Karim , Rector, IoBM Mr. Gareth Aicken, Country Representative the Asia Foundation, Mr. Muhammad Faheem Akhtar, Chief of Section, Education, Planning and Development Department, Government of Sindh, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ali, Chief of Party, Citizens’ Voice Project, faculty members and officials from NGOs also participated in the event.

The NPO Management Course will be conducted at the Management Excellence Center (MEC) of IoBM, which, besides being known for its state-of-the-art facilities in conferencing and video-conferencing, conducts specialized training programs catering to business management and allied disciplines for Government, Corporate Sector, Academia and NGOs.

The USAID Citizens’ Voice Project is being implemented by the Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) in collaboration between the Asia Foundation and Anjum Asim Shahid Rehman, Chartered Accountant Firm.
