Peshawar: Some unidentified militants Thursday attacked a Pakistan Army check-post in Mohmand Agency, an area on Pak-Afghan border, from Afghanistan.
According to security sources, the militants attacked the post in the cross-border attack, killing a soldier and injuring other.
“The army retaliated to the attack, forcing the militants to retrieve,” they added.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan had launched its protest several times in the past with Afghanistan, demanding the neighbouring country to tackle the movement of militants on Afghan side and deploy forces at the Pak-Afghan border.
