Pakistan: Coast Guards spoil drug smuggling plan

Quetta: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) on Sunday thwarted a plan to smuggle a huge amount of hashish near Windar in Balochistan.

According to sources, a special PCG team on a tip-off recovered 597 kilogrammes of hashish from the secret chambers of a truck’s fuel tank, which was intercepted on RCD Highway near Naka Khari Check Post in Windar.

On the face if it the truck was loaded with apple crates. The market value of the narcotic recovered was estimated to be about Rs1,40,00000.

The drug-trafficker has been taken into custody along with the vehicle.
