Islamabad: Pakistan Foreign Office summoned acting US Ambassador Richard Hoagland on Friday to register country’s protests against the anti-film that sparked protests across the Muslim world.
The Foreign Office handed over a démarche to Hoagland in protest against the anti-Islam film, and said that the film is akin to an attack on around two billion Muslims world over and demanded its immediate removal from the YouTube, which has already been blocked in Pakistan.
The film was a conspiracy to spread hatred and violence among different religions, according to foreign office.
Hoagland said the US had severely condemned the anti-Islam film. He added that majority of Americans viewed the film as offensive to Muslims.
