PM Ashraf announces compensation for Karachi fire, flood victims

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Saturday announced compensation for fire victims in Karachi and flood victims across Pakistan.

Almost 289 people fell prey to the deadly fire at a garments factory in Karachi. The fire also caused injures to more than 200 people.

In a similar way, the flood across Pakistan also claimed lives of several people and caused damages to the crops and property of the people.

The prime minister announced Rs 0.4 million for the deceased and Rs 0.1 million for the injured.
