Karachi: Police change account of Nazimabad explosion

Karachi: An hour after an explosion in Nazimbad area of Karachi police have changed its view of hand grenade attack and termed it a gas cylinder explosion.

Police said that there was no indication of any attack. Earlier, police and some TV channels unknown armed men hurled a hand grenade on a shop, killing a child and injuring at least 10 people including 2 children.

Police said that the incident took place in Bara Board area of Nazimabad.

Police and Rangers rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Rescue workers shifted the injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two of the wounded men are in critical condition.
