US embassy in India attacked, set on fire in Tunis over blasphemous film

Chennai: Violent protesters in India attacked US consulate during a protest against a film that mocks Islam.

The Muslim protesters chanted slogans against the US and hurled stones towards the consulate’s building.

So far, there was no report of any casualty from the protest that triggered after weekly main Friday prayer across the Muslim world and other Muslim majority countries.

According to media reports, US embassy has been set on fire in Tunis where  protesters ousted despotic ruler Zein-El Abedin and that inspired other Muslim in Middle east to stand against the tyrannic rulers last year.

Protests demonstration have also been held in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran Egypt and Sudan.

US embassies were attacked in Libya, Egypt and Yemen against the film made by a Coptic Christian.

US ambassador to the Libya was killed in Libyan city of Benghazi as an armed group attacked embassy.
