Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday visited the Baldia Twon area where over 250 people were killed as a garments factory caught fire on Tuesday.

Speaking to media, Khan said that he had come to the area to expressed sympathy with the victim families.

He demanded compensation for the victims and said that factory owners exploit poor labourers  by hiring them on contracts.

Replying a query regarding flood in Sindh and Punjab, he said that Imran Khan Foundation was the first to start rescue and rehabilitation work in the rain and flood affected areas.

Khan said that there were no rights for the poor class in the country, demanding that safety rules in the factories should be reviewed.

He refused to comment on Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance, however, he said support people of Sindh on the issue of local body system.
