The players performed their Eid prayers at a mosques. Former captain and coach Waqar Younis is also in Colombo as a coach at a team in Sri Lankan Premier League.

Shahid Afridi said ‘Since the start of my international career, I have hardly celebrated six or seven Eids at home.’

“Eid is enjoyable only at home but due to cricket we are deprived of its real happiness at home”, he said and added, “This would have been my first Eid at my new house but now I am far away from it.”

Cricketer Younis Khan, Asad Shafiq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Anwar Ali are celebrating Eid at Karachi while Azhar Ali, Aizaz Cheema and Adnan Akmal are celebrating Eid at Lahore while Abdul Rehman is playing county cricket in England.
