Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said that it was the responsibility of provincial governments to maintain law and order in their respective areas.
Addressing a high level meeting on security situation in Islamabad, Malik said that the terror alerts were conveyed to the provinces and now it was their responsibility to respond to the alerts.
Malik further directed all IG’s and home secretaries to be alert as there were reports of terror attacks on the occasion of Muslim festival, Eid-ul-Fitr.
