Mumbai: Ajay Devgan has given 1.5 million to the family of late cameraman, Machinder Arvel aka Bala, who died on the set of Devgan’s “Son of Sardar” due to an accident.
At that time Devgan tweeted:
Nothing can compensate his loss an my heart goes out to his family! We will do whatever we can to support them.

And so the actor has fulfilled his promise by giving money to the Bala’s family. A source close to Bala told, “Full marks to Ajay and his co-producers Kumar Mangat and Babloo Pachisia, who helped in this cause. Machinder’s wife and mother received Rs 7 lakh each. It is believed many people, including many actors from the film, pooled in.”
Prem Singh Thakur, Vice Chairman of the Allied Mazdoor Union, confirmed the news. He represented Machinder’s wife in the negotiations with the Son of Sardar producers.
Son of Sardar is an upcoming Bollywood romance drama film directed by Ashwni Dhir. The film features Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles.
