Rawalpindi: Chief of the Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani chaired corps commander conference in General Headquarters (GHQ) where the issues professional importance and national defence came under discussion.
According to reports, the monthly corps commander conference started after Iftar on Friday and ended late night.
Sources said that Lt. Gen Zaheerul Islam, chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) briefed the meeting about Pak-US relations and his latest visit to the United States.
The conference also discussed elaborately situation in country’s restive tribal region and neighbouring Afghanistan.
