6.2 magnitude quake hits northern Iran

Tehran: A strong earthquake jolted parts of northern Iran on Saturday, media reports said.

According to reports on Saturday, the intensity of the quake was recorded 6.2 magnitude on the Richer scale. Panic gripped the areas affected by the tremors and people came out of their houses.

No loss of life or property has been reported so far.
