London: Sally Pearson of Australia clinched gold medal in the 100-metre hurdles of the 2012 London Olympics.
Pearson clocked an Olympic record of 12.35 seconds to edge American defending champion Dawn Harper, who won silver medal.
Kellie Wells, another US athlete, took the bronze in 12.48 seconds.
Pearson endured a nervous few moments before the result was confirmed on the scoreboard, bringing cheers of delight from the Australian fans.
