Lahore: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation on Tuesday met leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as part of its efforts to evolve consensus on convening an all parties conference to resolve problems facing the country.
MQM delegation led by federal minister Farooq Sattar and comprising Raza Haroon and Wassay Jalil held talk with PTI president Javed Hashmi and vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
According to media reports, the PTI has decided that it would not attend any APC hosted by the MQM.
A private television channel corroborated its claim as saying that Imran Khan’s absence from the meeting was a clear indication that the PTI would not attend the APC.
TV reports said, PTI leaders said the party would no partake in any APC convened by the coalition partners of the government.
