Karachi: The chief selector of Pakistan hockey team, Hanif Khan, on Tuesday resigned from his post, after disastrous performance of the hockey team in London Olympics 2012.
The world champions Australia on Tuesday defeated Pakistan by 7-0 to qualify for the semifinal of London Olympics 2012. Pakistan showed no resistance against the Australia forward line.
Talking to media, the chief selector said that he accepts the responsibility of the disastrous loss to Pakistan.
He further said that his contract with the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) was until London Olympics and now he don’t want extension in his term.
