London: A 3-3 draw between Australia and Great Britain in the preliminary group match of London Olympics 2012 has enhanced chances for Pakistani team to play semifinal of the men’s hockey event at London Olympics 2012.
It was a thrilling match between the two sides as for the early 47 minutes Australia was leading the match with 3-0 but how quickly hockey match can turn could be easily understood through this match as team GB leveled the Australian score in the last 20 minutes.
Australia’s Mark Knowles and Russell Ford scored goals for their team while Great Britain Captain Bary Middleton and penalty corner specialist James Tindall leveled the score with their fine performances.
Austarlian team is occupying 1st position in the group with GB on No 2 are sharing 8 points while Pakistan is placed at third position. Pakistan will play their final match against Australia on Tuesday (Aug 07, 2012) at 8:30am.
Pakistan’s win against Australia will give them a chance to qualify for the semi final’s of the London Olympics 2012.
