London: With four teams in Group A at London 2012 have equal chances to reach semi finals, Pakistan hockey team is going to take on Australian hockey team in a must win match for Pakistan hockey team on Tuesday.
Pakistan beat South Africa Sunday by 5-4 while Australia versus Great Britain match ended in a draw by 3-3. Now both Green Shirts and Kangaroos will play their last match head to head on August 7.
Let’s look at the possibilities for Pakistan to reach Semi Final:
Scenario 1
Green shirts have a golden opportunity to qualify for the semi finals by beating Australia. If Pakistan beats Australia and Team GB win their last match against Spain then Pakistan and Team GB will qualify for Semi Finals.
Scenario 2
If match between Pakistan and Australia ends in draw, then Australia and team GB will qualify for Semi Final.
Scenario 3
If team GB losses its last match against Spain while Pakistan beats Australia in its last match then Pakistan and Spain will qualify for Semi Final.
Scenario 4
If match between Pakistan and Australia ends in draw and Spain wins its last match then Australia and Spain will qualify for Semi Final
From group B Netherlands and Germany looks strong to reach semis.
Australian team is still on 1st position in the group A and Netherlands is still on top of group B
