Lahore: At least two people have been killed and 21 other wounded after two blasts ripped off in Badami Bagh market of Lahore, rescue and security sources said on Wednesday.
According to the security sources, the explosive materials were placed beneath a fruit table in the market, which exploded in successions causing damages to the vegetable and fruit tables , killing two innocent people and wounding 21 others.
The police and security officials cordoned off the area and started scrutinizing the market for further explosives.
“The injured have been shifted to different hospitals in Lahore including the Mew hospital,” the rescue 1122 official said adding that most of the injured were out of danger.
The law enforcement agencies have stepped up the security at the arrival and departure points of Lahore while the security has also been stepped up in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
