ANP for Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar’s resignation

Islamabad: The Awami National Party had called for resignation of  Water and Power Minister Chaudhry Ahemd Mukhtar for his failure to overcome increasing loadshedding.

ANP senators Zahid Khan and Haji Adeel got angry and protested over absence of ministers  during the Senate session. They said that that the minister should resign if he could not resolve the issue of load shedding.

Hajid Adeel said Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtary should not punish the people for being deprived of  premiership.

Zahid Khan said that the minister were not present in the session and it was being run for TADA.

He said the purpose of the session had already been achieved, referring to Rehman Malik’ being sworn in as Senator.

MQM lawmaker Tahir Mashidi also raised concern over the target killing and extortion in Karachi and said the industry in the city had destroyed.

He said the the interior minister should come in the house and give briefing over the situation.
