Karachi: Grenade attack at NIPA Chowrangi, 2 injured

Karachi: At least two people were injured when unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade near a departmental store at Nipa Chowrangi area of Karachi.

According to sources the the unidentified motorcyclists threw a grenade near a departmental store at Nipa chowrangi, resulting in the injury of two people and damages to the cars and motorcycles present in the nearby parking area.

“The assailants easily run away from the spot,” they said adding that the attack was carried out after the shop-keeper refused to pay extortion.

The injured have been shifted to the local hospital in Karachi, they said adding that police and Rangers have cordoned off the area.
