Lahore: Claiming to be Pakistan’s one of the largest ever membership campaign by a political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf says it has registered around 6 million people as its members.

The claim about the campaign, which was started in the last week of March this year, could be seen at various Facebook pages of the party.

According to the party sources, PTI introduces three ways of becoming a member including registration via SMS, by visiting a membership camp or by visiting party’s website.

“The main credit goes to the easy way of registering as a member,” they comment. However, how the party would sort out and use this data is not clear yet.

After becoming a member, PTI team contact the concerned person to get other details required for making the membership card.

“Only member with PTI membership card will be eligible to vote in party elections and elect their own leaders.”
