Riyadh: Muslims in Saudi Arabia will begin fasting tomorrow as Ramazan moon has been sighted in the country on Thursday.
However, no official announcement has been made yet.
The UAE’s committee assigned with sighting the crescent moon that marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramazan in the UAE is meeting on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, the Muslims in the Pakistan will likely to begin fasting for the holy month from Saturday, July 21, 2012.
According to reports of Pakistan’s Meteorological Department the moon could be seen on this Friday. Saudi Arab’s moon sighting comate called their meeting on this Thursday.
In an interview the director of Met department, Azmat Hayat said that the weather at Coastal areas in Sindh will be clean. The moon could be seen in Larkana, Nasirabad, Gwadar, Pasni, Khuzdar and Karachi.
In addition, Chairman of moon sighting committee Mufti Munib ur Rehman said that the meeting of moon sighting will be held in the weather forecasting office in Karachi.
