Islamabad: A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted northwestern areas of Pakistan including capital Islamabad.
The Met Office said that the epicenter of the quake was at Afghan-Tajikistan border area.
According to initial reports, the tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshwar, FATA, Sawat, Abbottabad and surrounding areas in Pakistan and parts of Afghanistan.
