Karachi: At least two people have been killed and several others including Rangers officials injured after a blast near a Rangers vehicle in Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, police and rescue sources said.
According to sources, the blast occurred near People’s Chowrangi area of Karachi, killing at least two people and injuring three Rangers officials and a child.
“The Rangers officials have been shifted at Rangers Hospital in North Nazimabad while the other bodies and injured were shifted to a local hospital in Karachi,” they said adding that police and law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area.
A Rickshaw, a motorbike and Rangers vehicle were also damaged due to the blast.
It is to be mentioned that on July 16 a Rangers vehicle was attacked in a similar way while a bomb was defused outside Rangers Headquarter in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi.
At least 14 people have been killed in the ongoing violence across city on Wednesday increasing the death toll to more than 120 in July.
