Islamabad: Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) has claimed the responsibility of Thursday’s attack in Lahore that killed nine policemen, report said.
“Nine policemen were shot dead by the TTP in an attack on a house near Rasool Park. The attack was our reaction over torture on TTP members in different jails,” TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told private news television.
He threatened to carry out more attacks and said that the Lahore incident was a continuity of Gujrat attack.
Earlier, nine policemen were shot dead and three others injured by the unknown gunmen in an attack on a private hostel in Lahore city on early Thursday morning.
