Islamabad: Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has expressed concerns over the contempt of court bill passed by the National Assembly on Wednesday.
Talking to media on Tuesday Ahsan speaking said that he had conveyed his reservations to the party.
“Criticism of the court in polite language should be protected,” Ahsan said.
Ahsan added that he was not consulted when the legislation was being made nor does the contempt bill contain his opinions.
He said he was leaving for New Delhi on 12 July and would not appear as Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s lawyer in the NRO implementation case.
