Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is considered a closest friend of President Asif Ali Zardari and knows how to remain in the power corridors and the opposition in the same time, was found trying to embarrass the Jamaat-e-Islami for its political contacts with “westernized” Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
He was talking to media on Monday in Rawala Kot in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. .
The Maulana makes the fun of potential alliance of the JI and the PTI and says as to how the Jamaat would make alliance with Imran Khan, who wants to bring European culture in Pakistan by spreading Islam through music.
Fazl says what it would look like when Munawar Hassan, the JI Amer, and divorced Jemima Khan, are standing beside Imran Khan if the Jamaat goes on making alliance with the PTI.
The Maulana, who had a history of being establishment’s blue-eyed boy, now, says the establishment is creating hurdles for the religious parties. His next sentence explains the reason behind his resentment with the establishment. The Maulana adds political “vagabonds,” an obvious reference to the PTI, have now begun to follow the establishment.
The JUI-F Amer claimed that he was not an ally of the Pakistan People’s Party led government.
