Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral retired Fasih Bokhari has said that a team, comprising officials of the NAB, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and police has been formed to probe Arsalan Iftikhar case .
Speaking to media on Saturday, he said the team would be headed by NAB’s Financial Crimes Department director general.
He said the team would take some time to complete its task as it would have to visit UK to examine alleged bank transactions between the rival parties .
Mr Bokhari said Arsalan Iftikhar had sent a threatening notice to the NAB and it was tantamount to contempt of court.
Talking about corruption in the country, he said billions of rupees were being looted on daily basis in government institutions.
He said the NAB had recovered more than Rs 2 billions, which was not enough.
Bokhari said the society and system had become corrupt. He said the NAB was appointing as many as 300 investigation officers.
