Karachi: Hyder Bilgrami, a Mobilink’s official works for Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Department has resigned from his position to move Phillip Morris International.
He will be assuming managing the Department of Communication at Phillip Morris next month.
Hyder spent more than two year at the corporate communication department of Mobilink and groomed is skills in media management. He is a strategic communications & media professional with over 8 years of experience with leading media entities; he has served in Public Relation agencies, Television Networks and Development Sector prior to Mobilink.
He specializes in media relations and crises management was hired by Omar Mazur to handle Mobilink’s PR and CSR activities in 2010. Hyder hails from a strong media family; he is the younger brother of advertising industry icon Abbas Bilgrami.
Mobilink has not announced any replacement for Hyder Bilgrami so far, which is expected to get filled soon.
Mobilink has been leading the telecom sector in exporting human resource particularly in the field of corporate communications for past many years, as many of its officials got handsome jobs in cellular and various sector after gaining valuable experience from the multinational company.
Majority of them has become the head of departments at different telecom and FMCG companies later on.
Among the ex-officials of Mobilink PR and CSR Department are Amir Pasha, Manager PR of Zong, Imran Janjua, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR at Etisalat Afghanistan, Sadia Dada, Manager Corporate Affairs at Unilever Pakistan and Haider Bilgrami, Manager Corporate Communications.
