Warsaw: Italy beat the favourite Germany 2-1 in the second semi-final thanks to Mario Balotelli’s two early goals, stunning the opponents thoroughly.
With such a riveting performance, Balotelli became the first Italian player to score three goals in a single European Championship.
Balotelli struck in 20th and 36th minutes to outclass the Germans, who remained goalless despite their good game show and a sole penalty which they earned in the eleventh hour.
