Karachi: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf visited Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero where he was given warm welcome on Monday.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Advisor on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik accompanied the prime minister.
The PM met members of MQM’s coordination committee and said the MQM played role of true friend, adding that he would try to fulfill aspiration Altaf Hussain.
MQM leader and federal minister Dr Farooq Sattar demanded of the prime minister general election should be held in time if they believe in democracy.
Sattar also told the prime minister that target killing and extortion was increasing in Karachi.
The prime minister talked with MQM supremo Altaf Hussain via telephone. Hussain congratulated the newly elected prime minister and said Raja Pervez Ashrad belonged to middle class and Pakistan needed a prime minister like him.
