Kamran Ali appointed as PTCL’s board member

Karachi: Kamran Ali has been appointed as member of PTCL’s board in the place of Dr Ismail Shah, the company announced.

He is one of the eight members of the PTCL’s board and representative of the government in the Etisalat-own company.

Kamran Ali is the old name in the telecom sector having rich working experience in the government and private sector. He is also member legal of Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology (MoITT) and being considered as favorite person to be appointed as PTA chairman, industry official said.

He has spent more than one decade in PTA and MoITT and continued his role in the tackling legal affairs of authority and ministry.

His addition to the company board will bode well for the telecom giant who has been coping up different legal issues and pending cases with PTA and Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).

Besides him, the board’s members of PTCL as Abdulrahim Abdullah Abdulrahim Al-Nooryani, Abdul Wajid Rana, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Saleh, Jamil Ahmed Khan, Abdul Aziz Hamad, and Ahmad Al Jarwan.

Farooq Ahmed Awan is Chairman of PTCL and Farah Qamar is company’s secretary.
