Islamabad: The Jamaiat Ulemai Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) had decided to filed Maulana Fazlure Rehman its candidate for the slot prime minister.

The decision was taken during a meeting of party’s cenral Shura. On Thursday, President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif contacted the Maulana to seek his support in the wake of given political situation in the country following the disqualification of Yousuf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case.

The Muslim League-Nawaz has also contacted lawmakers from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), seeking their support as the party had also been mulling over to field Mehtab Abbasi as contender for the PM’s slot.
