Kohat: A remote-controlled bomb, targeting a police van, killed seven people, including four policemen and a child, and injured several others in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

Police said the incident happened at Ashiq Colony, Bannu Road and the seven people died on the spot. The injured have been shifted to a local hospital, they added.

A heavy contingent of police has been deployed at the incident cite after the blast that, according to the police, was planted in a handcart.
