Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Wednesday indicted Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Waqar Haider in contempt of court case.
He was indicted by an SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
The SC ruled that Mr Haider created hurdles in the way of justice by baring FIA officer Zafar Qureshi from entering his officer.
“Unfortunately trend of defying court orders is taking place,” the chief justice remarked.
The court rejected the apology tendered by the FIA officer.
It is to mention here that the government put up resistance against the SC orders of assigning NICL case probe against Chaudhry Moonis Elahi to the upright officer Zafar Quershi.
