Lahore: Paramedics staff on Sunday called off their month-long strike after successful talks with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at Minar-e-Pakistan at his camp office.
Sources said that the chief minister had ensured the representative of the staff that their demands would be fulfilled while monthly professional allowance of Rs1500 would be paid to the staff falling between scale I-IV.
The paramedical staff continued their protest for one month across the province, demanding fulfillment of their demands including revised service structure, health professional allowance and regularisation of contract employees.
The prime minister also ordered to form a committee for the revision of service structure for employees of Grade IV-XVI.
