CNG association ends strike across Pakistan

Islamabad: The All-Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has announced to end the strike across Pakistan, which it called over a dispute of tax with the government.

Addressing a press conference, APCNGA Chairman Ghayas Abdullah Paracha said that the association has halted the strike temporarily for three days after Petroleum Minister Dr. Asim Hussain offered the association to sit with government in order to negotiate regarding the matter.

The APCNGA Chairman apologise people of Pakistan for suffering a lot due to the strike and said that if the government would fail to approve their demands with three days then they would continue with their strike.

He further said that only petroleum products were not able to fulfill the needs of the consumers and CNG was an important part of energy sector.

It is to be mentioned that earlier the strike was called-off in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhua, after the provincial governments and province stake-holders assured the association in helping them to resolve their issue.
