Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari left for Pakistan on Friday after two-day stay in China. The president was seen off by Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Liu Jian, Ambassador Masood Khan and senior officials at Beijing Capital International Airport.
President Zardari represented Pakistan at the 12th Summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization held here from June 6-7. Addressing the SCO Summit meeting on Thursday, President Aisf Zardari said Pakistan fully qualifies for full membership of the SCO.
President Zardari received an extraordinary hospitality and protocol during his stay in China, reflecting a strong bond between the leaders and the peoples of two countries, said state news agency APP.
The President, who was in China to attend the annual meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) also held a range of meetings with the Chinese leadership and inked a number of Memoranda of Understanding to further solidify the multifaceted bilateral ties. This was President Zardari’s ninth visit to China
