Washington: Leveling allegation of infringement of two patents, Apple has moved to ban Samsung’s new Galaxy S3 handset in the U.S.
Apple, widely expected to launch a new iPhone later this summer, apparently feels more annoyance as a key handset for Samsung, seen also as a ‘standard bearer’ for Google’s Android operating system.
Due date of launch of SIII in US is June 21 in America with offering faster processing and a bigger screen than Apple’s iPhone.
Samsung looks firm to defend strongly Apple’s request a ban on sales of the Galaxy S III smartphone in the court with plans to go ahead with the device’s scheduled release in the U.S. on June 21, Daily reports.
“We will demonstrate to the court that the Galaxy S III is innovative and distinctive.’ South Korean tech firm says in a statement.
Earlier Apple moved to district court on Tuesday for temporarily banning sales of S III.
If U.S. District Court for Northern California accepts the appeal it would deal a blow to Samsung’s bid to launch its smartphone before Apple’s next one.
Samsung has already launched its SIII smartphone Europe on May 29 and will be available via 300 mobile carriers in Asia and North America later this month.
Samsung has become the biggest threat to Apple’s clout in the mobile market as its Galaxy series of smartphones won popularity among consumers seeking an Android-powered device.
Both Samsung and and Apple are business partner too as Apple is among its largest buyers of chips and display screens while Apple relies on Samsung for mobile components.
