Karachi: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four alleged gangsters during a raid in Surjani town area of the city.
SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Fayaz Khan told media that acting on a tip off police carried out raid in Surjani town and arrested four gangsters, involved in targeted killings.
He said 3 hand grenades and as many pistols and Kalashnikov were seized during the raid. Khan said vehicles, snatched from different parts of the city and other stuff were also recovered form their custody.
He said the arrested men were affiliated with a political party and involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and robberies.
The officer said the gangsters carried out crimes in collaboration with other gang war members.
