I am Happy with my solo performance, says Mudassar Zaman

Mudssar Zaman is an actor, anchor, model, writer and radio presenter too. He has also won best RJ host at FM 101. He has also been singing Sufiana Kilam too. While talking to The News Tribe (TNT), he talked about himself and his projects too.

TNT:  Tell something about yourself as an artist.

Mudassar: I am a very simple and straight forward person and I want to work for the betterment and peace and harmony in the society.

TNT: What do you like more out of TV and radio more and why?

Mudassar: Radio is a bigger source of entertainment these days. I like radio coz now a day people want to listen to radio, and that’s why I enjoy my radio show specially FM media.

TNT: Tell about your upcoming projects.

Mudassar: As a singer I have completed my second solo audio album by the name of “JWANDOON” and I am working as composer for an Indian and American singers.

TNT:  What singers act as your inspiration?

Mudassar:  They are Nashanas, Khyal Mohammad and Haroon Bacha.

TNT: What main difference you feel in Pashto music and other music?

Mudassar: Pashto music is so much melodious and its beats are more melodious than others.

TNT: What are some of the problems you faced being a singer (being in media?)

Mudassar: There weren’t any problems as such for me. J

TNT: You would like to perform with whom and why?

Mudassar: I am happy with my solo performance.

TNT: What the importance of good lyrics for you?

Mudassar: Every song depends on meaningful lyrics and without good lyrics a song cannot be alive for long time.

TNT: Share a few lines on future of Pashto music in Pakistan.

Mudassar: It’s not only in Pakistan we have great hopes that Pashto has bright future all over the world.

TNT: Share a few lines on Coke Studio going Pashto this time.

Mudassar: It’s a very good step taken by them because now more young talented new voices will be highlighted.

TNT: What is your message?

Mudassar: Kindly give respect to the singers and artists. Here in our society, people like music but not the musicians and artists. I have a special message that I want to convey to singers that do not pick the meaningless lyrics serve the country and work for peace through your voice.
