Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and former prime minster Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that atrocities and injustices turned  Baloch into insurgents.

Speaking at the Balochistan Conference held by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Saturday, he said that those who committed atrocities and killed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti should be held accountable.

He lamented that Pervez Musharraf was accorded with guard of honour when he left the presidency and nobody dare to held him accountable.

Sharif said injustices and cruelties could turn anybody to turn violent. He said ” We should held responsible ourselves instead of passing the buck”.

“We should not be complaining of Baloch being rebels,” He said, adding that there was not benefit of Balochistan package.

The former prime minister said that past practices would not be allowed to be repeated in the country, referring to forced disappearances of people. He said he had learnt lessons from the past.
