Quetta: An earthquake of 4.8 magnitude jolted parts of Quetta, Pakistan’s metropolitan of Balochistan Province on Thursday.
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) said that an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was reported in different parts across Quetta.
“The origin of the earthquake was 90 km North of Khuzdar,” the met department said.
According to early reports, the temblor struck parts of Quetta at around 1:30 AM.
Quake-struck residents rushed out of their houses fearing for their lives. While there were also reports from the city that people has started aerial firing in order to warn the people sleeping in their houses regarding the danger.
It is to be mentioned here that almost 3-4 hours ago an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude jolted Sorab, Qallat and other parts of Baluchistan.
